Bake to Roots

Terms and Conditions

Last updated 11 September 2026.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Bake to Roots, a bakery and food producer based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Throughout these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Bake to Roots, and “you” means the person placing an order or using this website.

Legal entity: [legal company name to be confirmed]. Trade licence number: [licence number to be confirmed]. Registered address: [registered address to be confirmed].

You can reach us through our contact page, by phone, or on WhatsApp using the number shown in the header of this website.

2. These terms

By placing an order you agree to these terms. Please read them before you buy. If you do not agree with them, please do not place an order. We may update these terms from time to time, and the version published on this page at the moment you order is the one that applies to that order.

3. Our products

Everything we sell is made by hand in small batches from natural ingredients. Because of this, colour, size, weight and appearance vary a little from one batch to the next. Photographs on this website show the product but are not an exact likeness of the item you will receive.

Each product page lists the ingredients and the allergens we know to be present, along with an estimated calorie figure. Calorie figures are approximate and are provided as a guide only.

Allergens matter. Our kitchen handles wheat and other gluten-containing cereals, nuts, sesame, milk, eggs, celery and fish. Even where a product is described as gluten-free, it is produced in the same kitchen, so we cannot guarantee that it is free from traces of other allergens. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, please read the allergen information on the product page and contact us before ordering if anything is unclear.

Nothing on this website is medical or nutritional advice.

4. Prices

All prices are shown in United Arab Emirates dirhams. Where value added tax applies, it is shown at checkout before you pay. Delivery is charged separately and is shown at checkout before you pay.

We try to keep prices accurate, but if we discover an obvious pricing error after you order, we will contact you before preparing the order and you may confirm at the corrected price or cancel for a full refund.

5. Placing an order

When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we confirm your order. We may decline an order if an item is unavailable, if we cannot deliver to your address, if there has been a pricing error, or if we reasonably believe the order is fraudulent.

You may order as a guest or through an account. If you create an account, keep your password confidential and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has used it.

6. Payment

The payment methods available to you are shown at checkout. Where card payment is offered, payment is processed by our payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card details. Where cash on delivery is offered, please have the exact amount ready for the driver.

7. Delivery and collection

We deliver across all seven emirates and you may also collect from our bakery in Sharjah at no charge. Delivery charges are shown at checkout and depend on the emirate.

Because we bake to order, please allow time between ordering and delivery. Bread and pastries are best ordered at least a day ahead, and large gift or catering orders need longer. We will agree a delivery date with you.

Someone aged eighteen or over must be available at the address to receive the order. If nobody is available and we cannot safely leave the order, we will contact you to arrange another attempt, and a further delivery charge may apply. Responsibility for the goods passes to you when they are delivered or collected.

Delivery times are estimates. We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control, such as extreme weather, road closures or public holidays, but we will always tell you as soon as we can.

8. Cancelling, returning and refunds

Our products are freshly made and perishable, so the rules below apply rather than a general right to change your mind.

  • Before we start preparing your order you may cancel for a full refund. Please contact us as early as you can, and in any case at least twenty four hours before the agreed delivery or collection date.
  • Once preparation has begun we may not be able to cancel, because ingredients have been committed and the item is made for you.
  • Fresh food cannot be returned after delivery for hygiene and food safety reasons.
  • If something is wrong, for example the wrong item arrives, an item is missing, or the quality is not what it should be, contact us within twenty four hours of delivery with your order number and a photograph. If we agree there is a problem we will replace the item or refund it.
  • Sealed pantry goods, such as spices, herbs, grains, oils and preserves, may be returned within seven days of delivery if they are unopened, undamaged and in their original packaging.

Approved refunds are made to the original payment method. For cash on delivery orders we will agree a refund method with you. Refunds are normally processed within fourteen days of us approving them, and the time it takes to appear in your account depends on your bank.
